Why aren't some organic foods high in nutrients as non-organic?
I've been pondering this question for a while now. Ever since I saw a few bottles of milk at Whole Foods, I've been very confused on why the organic milk wasn't high in nutrients as the non organic. The organic milk had 0 % calcium and 10 % vitamin D on it's label. While the non organic had 25 % vitamin D and Calcium.Speaking of organic food. How do we really know if some products are 100 % organic? Should I really trust the FDA? Should I believe everything they say? How do I know the stores don't just label non organic foods such as apples with organic stamps on them? Whose to stop them from committing this crime?
Why am I still really overweight if i'm vegan, soy-free, gluten-free, eat all organic foods, & ton fruits/veg?
Well, the title has my question. I used to be really in shape, would run a lot and could eat all the vegan junk food i wanted and stayed in shape, even if i stopped running. About a year ago, I didn't exercise at all for a long time and really overate bad veg junk food, so OF COURSE i gained about 30 pounds after going almost a year without routine exercise. But for the past six or seven months, I've been working out periodically and eat very, very healthy. I'm very careful about what I put in my body, no more junk food ever, vegan or otherwise. So what may be wrong? I even drink tons of organic green tea and TONS of water. also, i have acne now. I never ever had a problem with acne, but when just about two years ago, it sprang up out of nowhere and I was even coming off a raw food diet for four months. Somebody please help.
Are organic foods okay to eat during pregnancy?
I am in a program for young parents and there are pregnant girls in the class. Our support worker has been told to buy organic foods because they are better for us, this I agree with but is it safe for the pregnants to eat organic and unpasteurized foods?
